Hi, I'm Emma — the photographer behind Kandi Lane Photography, and I've been capturing weddings across Victoria for over 20 years.
I started this business because I genuinely love what I do. Not in a vague, put-it-on-a-website way — I mean I still get a knot of excitement on the morning of every single wedding. The privilege of being invited into one of the most personal days of someone's life, and being trusted to capture it honestly and beautifully, never gets old.
My approach
I'm not the photographer who shows up with a shot list and spends the day directing people into poses. I'd much rather blend into the background, pay close attention, and catch what's actually happening — the nervous laugh before the ceremony, the way you look at each other when you think no one is watching, the chaos and joy of the dancefloor at the end of the night.
My style is candid and romantic. I use natural light wherever I can, I move quietly, and I try to make everyone around me feel relaxed enough to forget I'm there. That's when the best photos happen.
A little about me
I'm based in Melbourne's south east and I travel throughout Victoria — from the Mornington Peninsula and Dandenong Ranges, to Ballarat, Geelong, the Yarra Valley and everywhere in between. No wedding is too far when there's a beautiful story to tell.
My couples tend to describe me as warm, calm and easy to have around on the day — which matters just as much to me as taking beautiful photos. A wedding day can feel overwhelming, and I want my presence to make it feel a little easier, not add to the pressure.
My work has been featured in Polka Dot Wedding and Wedding Diaries, and I'm proud to be listed on ABIA.
What's included
Every Kandi Lane Photography package includes unlimited photos, a complimentary engagement shoot, and full editing. I travel across Victoria with no travel surcharge, and I'm available for weddings in 2025, 2026 and 2027.
